LPC-Law accused of sharp legal practices

Canary Wharf based LPC-Law headed by Mr Leonard David Crowder stand accused of charging clients for legal representation not recognised by judges and then refuses to refund clients!

On 15 July 2019 before Deputy District Judge Hull sitting at Wandsworth County Court LPC-Law provided Mark Erridge a Solicitors agent Deputy District Judge Hull in his preamble stated that “Upon a solicitors agent purporting to represent the Claimant at this hearing, but there being no solicitors on record in these proceedings” the judge further stated “It is ordered that 1. The Claimant’s solicitor agent’s application for rights of audience at this hearing is dismissed” the claim was dismissed as a direct result of no representation provided.”

The client has requested a refund via his power of attorney and will report this matter to trading standards, Solicitors’ Regulation Authority the regulatory body for Solicitors and civil proceedings if necessary.

The LPC-Law business model not recognised by many County Courts in England and Wales, as LPC contrary to SRA regulated solicitors who actually go on record, LPC engages with the prospective client who is required to sign a retainer, and then to pay dependant on the instruction a fee fixed in advance, whilst deliberately not going on record which regularly can be seen as in the case above. The solicitor’s advocate then presents himself before the court to be not granted audience.

The victim in the above case has a second case when a second judge, again, refused the solicitor's agent any rights of audience. On at least three occasions research by Financial Fraudster News has indicated that clients who were not in attendance were not represented.

LPC director Mr Leonard David Crowder faces class action for refunds on cases where sharp practices have been employed by LPC staff to short change its clients for their business model failings.

Financial Fraudster News has asked LPC and the SRA for comment.
