Under fire Starling Bank CEO, stands accused by a business customer of fraud and misappropriation of customer funds.
Starling Bank customer Ms Andrea Maxwell a UK entrepreneur alleges that she is being victimised as a result of unwarranted abuse of banking regulatory processes by Starling Bank that has resulted in a prolonged 3-month account review, starting in November 2023 that has seen her business bank account without notice, being restricted which prevents Ms Maxwell from accessing her business and personal accounts, to her personal and business detriment.
Financial Fraudster News investigations spoke with Ms Maxwell at her office in Wood Green, North London who stated, “I am being kicked when down, I am a law-abiding citizen running a profitable lawful business…last year [2022], I had a business account inspection for a prolonged period of time, causing paralysis of my business operations. The 2023 business account inspection has carried over from 2023 to 2024 and this time Starling Bank has treated me and my company, and its stakeholders in the most shockingly disrespectful manner.
Starling Bank since November 2023 has restricted all access to my personal and my business bank account that holds hard earned money.
Starling Bank hid behind its abusive use of the banking regulatory conditions it is bound by endorsed by Westminster law makers. The law itself, was not designed to put law-abiding, hardworking and profitable businesses that have chosen Starling Bank as a business partner…on 18th January 2024 I checked the so-called restricted bank accounts as part of my daily ritual in the hope that the restriction is lifted, only to find money transferred from one of my accounts, without notice, by Starling Bank contrary to the restrictions placed on all accounts. Starling Bank callously at the same time denied me access to my own funds, even stopping direct debits…this is fraud and misappropriation…Starling Bank is disgusting! ..I simply do not trust them [Starling Bank] the CEO must now take full responsibility for…what gives them the right to act without notice, and transfer my hard earned funds, not theirs to other organisations, excuse me, am I in the United Kingdom right now?..”
Financial Fraudster News has spoken to contributor and banking expert David Jones, who stated, “Starling Bank’s failure to give notice to a business customer that has been denied access to its own funds could leave the bank open to litigation if that business is affected…all banks are subject to banking regulations that at its heart is designed to prevent criminality of many sorts including money laundering…it appears that Starling Bank may be ignoring the fact that a legally and lawful profitable business will be affected if misuse of the banking regulations are found to have occurred…”
Financial Fraudster News investigations has approached Starling Bank for comment.
